Health Care
- Health care should not be left up to HMOs, drug companies, and government bureaucrats.
- We need to make all medical expenses tax deductible.
- Eliminate federal regulations that discourage small businesses from providing coverage.
- Give doctors the freedom to collectively negotiate with insurance companies to drive down the cost of medical care.
- Make every American eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA), and remove the requirement that individuals obtain a high-deductible insurance policy before opening an HSA.
- Reform licensor requirements so that pharmacists and nurses can perform some basic functions to increase access to care and lower costs.
- Allow opening of more medical schools and streamline the process for acquiring an M.D., G.P. or D.O.
- Allow insurance companies to compete across state lines and people the right to choose what to insure against.
- Allow business groups and associations to band together to negotiate group health insurance rates for small businesses and their employees. Allow insurance companies to determine how many employees are required to be a group. A large percentage of companies have 3 or less employees! Some are single employee endeavors!
- We must open medicine to competition increasing quality and decreasing costs!
- We must not allow the insurance companies and government bureaucrats to force government health care on us. If we want to see what government provided "free" health care looks like? Look at the VA. Half the care at twice the cost.
