A Visitor From the Past (Anonymous)

I had a dream the other night, I didn’t understand, A figure walking through the mist, with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three cornered hat, and speaking low, he said

"We fought a revolution to secure your liberty. We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and the Home of the Brave."

"The freedom we secured for you, we hoped you’d always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom gone, your courage lost, you’re no more than a slave. In this the Land of the Free and the home of the brave"

"You buy permits to travel, and permits to own a gun, Permits to start a business, or to build a place for one. On the land you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in choosing how the money is spent"

"Your children must attend a school that doesn’t educate. Your Christian Values can’t be taught, according to the state. You read about the current news, in a regulated press. You pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS"

"Your money is no longer made of silver or of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God in shame. You’ve taken Satan’s number as you’ve traded in your name."

You’ve given government control to those who do you harm. So they padlock churches and steal the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt, put men of God in jail. Harass your fellow countryman, while corrupted courts prevail."

As I awoke he vanished in to the mist from whence came. His words were true, we are not free, we have ourselves to blame. For even now as Tyrants trample each God given right. We only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight.

If he stood by your bed side in a dream, while you’re asleep. And wonders what remains of our Rights he fought to keep. What would be your answer? If he called out from the grave.

	I’m Delia Lopez and I am running for Congress. My husband and I met while working at Federal Express in Calif. We‘ve been married for 26 years we have 3 kids and 3 grand kids. We moved to Oregon 24 years ago. We started investing in Real Estate in 1989 as part of a retirement plan. I created and handled the budget and management of the plan, it’s worked out pretty well. While watching the republican debates, one of the candidates suggested we follow the constitution and the others laughed, that was the moment I decided, We the people had to take our country back! Our President, Senators, and Congressman are sworn to uphold and defend our constitution from all threats foreign and domestic! The Constitution is supposed to be the law by which our country is to be governed! It was written to restrain the power of the government and to protect the rights of the people. Our freedoms as spelled out in the Constitution, were given to us by our Creator, and are not to be denied us by any Government. There is no way permitted under the constitution for our rights to be suspended! Not in time of war, not even under marshal law! This is important! When president Bush suspended Habeas Corpus It basically voids 9 out of 10 of the first 10 amendments to the constitution, commonly called the bill of rights! Handing over our monetary policy to a private bank and giving massive sums of money to bail out Investment Companies! Giving illegal aliens benefits paid for by us taxpayers! It is time we the people took control of our government, The way to do that is vote them out of office! Fire them all, re- elect nobody! We are being sold out, and we are allowing our children's and grandchildren's futures to be mortgaged. We are spending trillions of dollars policing the world, not to mention the blood of our sons and daughters. This is unacceptable, we have troops in more countries than I knew there were countries! We pay to police the world while our social security system is being bankrupted and our senior citizens, our disabled citizens and our veterans are being neglected. We need to stop the trampling of our constitutional rights, stop policing the world, and take care of our citizens. Stop the federal governments expanding power over the states. We have got to protect and defend our constitution against the threat from our government!
